Homemade Bourbon Eggnog
3 Eggs (Separated)
2 Cups 2% Milk
1 Cup Heavy Cream
1/2 Cup Sugar
6 oz Wild Turkey® Bourbon
1/4 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 Tsp Cinnamon
1/2 Nutmeg, Freshly Grated
Beat egg yolks and sugar until light in color. Add bourbon, then milk, cream, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well. In a separate bowl, use an electric mixer to beat egg whites until they peak. Fold the egg whites into the mixture. Serve in cocktail glasses and garnish with nutmeg and cinnamon.
Substitutions for our vegetarian-friendly Wild Turkey No-Egg Nog:
Use unsweetened plant-based milk instead of 2% milk, and full fat coconut milk instead of heavy cream.
Optional egg substitute: Aquafaba (the liquid leftover from cooked chickpeas). It will take longer to peak than regular egg whites (approximately 6 minutes) but will make the No-Egg Nog nice and frothy.
Combine all ingredients, excluding aquafaba, in a high speed bender and blend until smooth. In a bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the aquafaba until it starts to peak. Slowly add the bourbon/plant milk mixture from the blender into the aquafaba bowl, folding until well combined. Serve in a cocktail glass and garnish with nutmeg and cinnamon.
