Pomegranate Smash

2 oz. Russell’s Reserve Bourbon
1/2 oz. Maple Syrup
2 oz. Pomegranate Seeds (or 3/4 oz. pomegranate juice)
1/2 Lemon, cubed
5-7 Mint Leaves

In a pint glass, muddle pomegranate seeds to release the juice. Add lemon, maple syrup, and mint. Gently muddle to release lemon juice and mint oils. Add ice, then bourbon, and shake hard for 8 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and top with soda. Garnish with mint sprig and lemon wedge.
